The investment company Eika Asset Management has launched a new closed-end fund, Eika Private Equity Secondaries Fund I, which will allow investors looking for new opportunities to invest in the alternative collective investment fund, StepStone Secondary Opportunities Fund V Europe Holdings, registered in Luxembourg. Approval for the establishment of this fund was granted by the Bank of Lithuania.
‘I am pleased to announce that the result of the smooth cooperation with the Bank of Lithuania and the diligent work of the EAM team is a new fund for informed investors. This fund will give investors the opportunity to invest in one of the most well-known international players with an excellent track record. And for our team, this is another step forward in meeting investors’ expectations and creating a wider range of funds,’ says Viktorija Orkinė, CEO of Eika Asset Management.
Eika Private Equity Secondaries Fund I is the fifth investment fund launched by Eika Asset Management and will invest in the alternative collective investment undertaking StepStone Secondary Opportunities Fund V Europe, established in Luxembourg.
Viktorija Orkinė comments on the decision: ‘StepStone’s experience and specialisation, clear strategy and data collected in the private equity market over a long investment history give this Luxembourg-based holding company significant advantages, especially in the secondary market.’
In addition to projects abroad, Eika Asset Management continues to be active in Lithuania. A few weeks ago, Eika Asset Management announced the start of construction of the Senamiesčio sodai project in Vilnius. According to the announcement, the investment in the development of this project will amount to EUR 41.3 million.
